Active and Passive Voice | Conceptual Meaning
VOICE SOUND
The voice means sound but according to English Grammar, the voice means such form of verb that the subject does work.
1. He draws a picture
2. A carpenter makes a table
ACTIVE VOICE
There are subject, object, and original verbs in the active voice sentence.
1. The dog barks at the beggar.
PASSIVE VOICE
It describes that some work is being done, be the subject in this sentence.
NOTE
The subject is changed into an object and the Object is changed into the subject. The original form of the original verb is changed into 3rd form of the original verb.
1. A/V: Sanjay sings a song.
1. P/V: A song is sung by Sanjay.
VERB
Such part of the sentence which shows, something about the person or thing is called a verb.
The dog barks.
A thief stole a watch.

NOTE:
1. He goes.
2. She sews.
AUXILIARY VERBS
ALL THE FOLLOWING ARE HELPING OR AUXILIARY VERBS.
Do, did, done, is, am, are, will, shall, was, were, will be, shall be, has, have, had, may, might, could, can, would, should, et cetera.
NOTE
Following are the rules to change active voice in to passive voice.
RULE NO.1
To change active voice into passive voice, the subject is changed into object and object into subject. The original verb is changed into 3rd form of the original verb.
EXAMPLES:
1. A/v: The man kills a snake.
P/v: A snake is killed by the man.
2. A/v: You broke a glass.
P/v: A glass was broken by you.
RULE NO.2, TENSES FORMAT
1. Present Tense into Present Continuous Tense (Is, Am, Are)
2. Past Tense into Past Continuous Tense (Was, Were)
3. Future Indefinite Tense into Future Indefinite Tense ( Shall be, Will be)
4. Present Continuous Tense into (Is being, am being, are being)
5. Past Continuous Tense into (Was being, Were being)
6. Future Continuous Tense into ( Shall be being, Will be being)
7. Present Perfect Tense into (Have been, Has been)
8. Past Perfect Tense into (Had been)
9. Future Perfect Tense into (Shall have been, Will have been)
10. Present Aorist Tense into (Maybe)
11. Past Aorist Tense into (Might be)
12. Present Potential Tense into (Can be)
13. Past Potential Tense into (Could be)
RULE NO.3
If an active voice sentence starts with ''Who or When'' then Passive voice would be changed into ''By whom''
EXAMPLE:
A/v: Who broke your pen?
P/v: By whom was your pen broken?
RULE NO.4
If there are two subjects in active voice then in the passive voice you can keep any subject.
EXAMPLE:
A/v: I gave you my pen.
P/v: My pen was given to you by me.
P/v: You were given my pen by me.
2. A/v: He gives you his pen.
P/v: You are given his pen by him.
P/v: His pen is given to you by him.
RULE NO.5: IMPERATIVES
1. A/v: Open the window.
P/v: Let the window be opened.
2. A/v: Cut the nail.
P/v: Let the nail be cut.
RULE NO.6
1. A/v: Come here
P/v: You're ordered to come here.
2. A/v: Go there
P/v: You are ordered to go there.
3. A/v: Don't sit here.
P/v: You're prohibited to sit here.
4. A/v: Be a wise boy.
P/v: You're directed to be a wise boy.
5. A/v: Please, give me your pen.
P/v: You're requested to give your pen to me.
